Dell do an outlet store for stuff that is returned then sold for bout £400 cheaper. Is this good model?

If your getting a gaming laptop then get one of the msi ones they're much better than the alienware ones

Not heard of MSI before. How much do i need to spend. I want to play star trek online. some newer games etc. plus star wars old replublic when released. I dont want to play crysis etc

£955.48 for a laptop is an utter waste of cash whether your loaded or not. I just dont understand why people buy them when for the same cash you could get a desktop PC 2 or 3 times as powerful.

i remember a couple of months ago the gadget show did a review of £1500 gaming laptops. my £450 PC (bought at around the same) was a better gaming machine than all of them

Enlighten us please.

Well for starters he asked for a laptop, no matter how good it is, a desktop is NOT a laptop.

He obviously has reasons for wanting a laptop, otherwise he would have posted asking for a desktop, but, shock horror, he didn't. He may travel a lot and need a portable machine for that. He may not have the room at home for a desktop. He may just prefer laptops to desktops.

Fact is he asked for suggestions on which laptop to get, so suggesting him a desktop is about as useful as suggesting he spends the money on a herd of cows.

Are gaming laptops even portable :P?

The last 17.3" screen laptop I used (Dell, last week) was far from portable!
