Her is my rig as it stands...

Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H Intel H55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 microATX Motherboard
Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156)
Corsair Dominator 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
MSI GeForce GTX 460 HAWK "Super-OC" 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Sapphire Pure 625W Modular Power Supply
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler
Windows 7 (64bit)
Xtreme gamer XiFi sound card

And that's all wrapped up in a lovely green chieftec dragon case.

Now, when I ordered my mobo, ram and CPU bundle I didn't realise how small the mobo would be. Despite my artic cooler sticking over a little it all managed to fit into place. It was a snug fit mind you but it fit.

But now I am wondering what happens when I want to put in another 4 GB of ram? Do I have to change to a larger mobo or has someone else found a way around this?

Also, im thinking a new case.Mainly for air flow and space. Any suggestions for any of this?

if this is your motherboard: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3309#sp
then you can stick up to four 4GB sticks of ram into the motherboard you currently have. you may have to remove the cooler (or at least the fan on the cooler) to access the ram slots.

if it was an overclocked bundle then you will have to contact OcUK when you add the new RAM, as the extra RAM may make the overclock unstable.

you wont see much of a benefit in temperatures by changing case i wouldnt think. there might be a small difference, but not much. however, it would mean you dont have a green case :p

Some cooler, case, mobo combos just don't work well.

Mine for example: I have to have the Cogage Arrow cooler venting out of the top of my Antec 902 - if I turn it to face the rear it clashes with the housing for the fan on the side panel which means I can't get the side panel on.
Unfortunately this means that the cooler now sits overhanging the RAM slots. Although I can fit low-profile ram (which I currently have) it's restricting my getting some nice new RAM that happens to be quite tall...

The only way round is either replace the cooler (my prefference in this case), limit myself to low profile RAM (annoying) or break the fan housing off the case (I really don't want to do that - I'm going for asthetics lol).

Not an answer to the OP I know, but I feel your pain!

Hmmm. Thats interesting.

It hadn't occurred to me the bundle was "pre-overclocked". How do I go about setting it back to normal? Because I feel this may be the reason I have had some games freezing recently...

Yeah, thanks. But I've been looking to get rid of my existing 3x2 and getting 3x4 but they're all tall atm (the good ones anyway lol).

Don't worry, keeping my eye on the OCUK weekly deals always :P (and still saving anyway lol)

if you got it from OcUK then it was almost certainly pre-overclocked. if it was from elsewhere then it may not have been pre-overclocked.

either way, just post a thread in the technical questions part of the customer service section and the guys at OcUK should be able to make the overclock stable

Thanks ill give that a look

My "crashes" are a bit weird. The game freezes (sound still going) then i ctrl alt del to task manager. I then maximise the game window from the task bar, and it works fine...odd!
