Hello guys,

I currently use the games Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (Intend to buy the latest "X" version), Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142 and a few others, Id like to play them all at the highest spec possible so want to build myself a new system, have a few questions.

Is this all compatible/will it work?

CPU: Intel Core 2 DUO Extreme Edition X6800 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.93GHz
GPU: BFG GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3
RAM: Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C5 PRO TwinX
MB: EVGA nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
PSU: FSP Sparkle FX700-GLN Epsilon 700W ATX2.0 PSU
Sound: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music
Case: Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming case

Also, Iv upgraded my system in the past (added a better gfx card, more ram, changed motherboard and CPU) but iv never built a system from scratch. Is there anything I should be aware off that wouldnt come up with changing those parts?
I.E - Is it as usual with those parts where you just clip them into the motherboard, install windows on the hard drive and ready to rock?

Cheers,

Oh and also, which is better for gaming?

Intel Core 2 DUO Extreme Edition X6800 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.93GHz
or
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core FX62 2.80GHz

I see the Intel is more expensive but im not up to speed on the technical stuff on that, Although i prefer AMD its less expensive (which is GREAT) but its lower GHz, so will it still run powerfull enough for those top games (Microsoft Flight Simulator X needs a VERY high spec PC to run on max)

SPW, thanks very much ;) , Ill have a look at those changes you suggested and Ill check the case dimentions for the gfx card.
