Really irritating problem that I've somehow managed to live with, for over a year now.

Enough is enough, this has to be fixed.

Every fullscreen OpenGL game I own, flickers to a black screen and back again on mouse button 1, 2 or 3.

This takes about 500-600ms and the game hangs during the flicker. As you can imagine, playing first person shooters is out of the question.

I've changed graphics drivers, uninstalled mouse drivers, disabled sli, disabled aero and searched google to high heaven. No joy :(

Surely someone in the world must have had the some bug I do?

Vista64 SP1
680i
e6600
4gb ddr2 1066 ram
sli 8800gtxs
Logitech G7 (setpoint 4.60)

Odd one, SLI is the cause of many problems, what happens if you disable SLI?

I agree, this is a very odd problem.

Disabling SLi makes no difference, I haven't physically pulled one of the cards out however.

Link above is an out of focus, badly made video which shows the effect. Note the odd ghosting effect, why it should be storing old frames of data in the framebuffer, I don't know.

if you weren't crazy before it, you will be now.

try installing latest video drivers but make sure you run driver cleaner pro after you have uninstalled your current drivers.

remove your mouse software and play without it.

run crap cleaner...clean registry too

make sure you close all unnecessary programs(all of them) there could be something conflicting so help yourself and close them all.

remove 1 graphics card...if no change then put it back in and remove the other

if worse comes to worse....reinstall windows
