Im looking for something Im not sure even exists, well it might do but ive not found it yet, im after a All in one printer, scanner copier + fax (fax not essential) that can print directly onto cds/dvds but is also networkable, all the networkable ones ive seen dont tend to do the cd/dvd bit, any ideas?

I think Canons are the best printers anyway so you wont go too wrong - my cheapy MP460 can suport networking over a dongle you can buy from cannon

Get the non R if you do not need Wifi as its far cheaper (I did not pay what you see it for here)

You can get the higher spec MP800 without Wifi for same as the MP600R with wifi, it adds higher scanning and a attachment for slides and 35mm film.

They all make a great job of printing good quality Media (thats the key do not use crap media).

Ive not come across that one maybe its outdated? wifi is not important as it will be connected to router, does it do network, scanning, copying and printing via many consumables + cd's

ive found it fro abourt £152 delivered so far so its not so bad

No they were all new models months ago when I got my MP600R.

The R means Wireless, so you can print from a PC in a different room.

There is 3 main higher models of that Pixma range that look neat like a Square Box not like a normal Printer shapes (the picture here makes it look blocky/taller, its not as bad as that in real life).

1) MP600
2) MP600R (only extra is Wireless)
3) MP800 (Higher RES Scanning and 35mm Slides and Film Attachment)

Edit: the MP800 may be the MP810 now and the MP600 now the MP610, I need find out whats new apart from front is not all Black now and new look to some controls.

" The PIXMA MP610 carries on the silver and black lines of its predecessor, but the new machine is a bit deeper and more rounded. It's almost octagonal, but with longer sides front and back. A paper feed tray flips up from the back of the top panel and a telescopic support pulls up to hold the paper "

" Canon uses a dual-rendering scheme to produce its scans and claims to have improved blue and yellow accuracy with the MP610. "
