Following on from my thread in the MM, something has me wondering.

I've owned an H5O, an H7O, and now I have a Kuhler H2O-620. They all exhibit a slight pump buzz. Nothing intrusive at all, just the kind of thing you'd notice in a silent room if you listened out for it.

Now as i've had it three times in a row, i'm thinking this is normal and a drawback of the system. But is it really? Do you other owners get this, or is it just me?

For what it's worth, my system gets moved around a lot to LAN parties and such, and whenever booting it back up after movement, the rad/pump gush and fizz a bit before settling down to near silence again within a couple of minutes. Could this have something to do with it?

Thanks.

the buzzing is totally normal for all pumps.

the loud fizzing/gushing after being moved is the air bubble, that you will find inside all fully contained water coolers going through the pump of the cooler. if the air bubble wasnt there the cooler would explode if the temps got too high, because when water gets hotter, it expands

if it really bothers you then the only option would be an air cooler, but that really wouldnt be good if you plan on moving the computer around a lot, because air coolers these days weigh a lot
