Colleagues keyboard stopped working yesterday so she nipped out and bought a Logitech wireless combo (has the unifying receiver) but that wont work either.
She tried a couple of wired keyboards that are known to be working and nothing happens.

FYI the old mouse was working fine, as is the new mouse - just not the keyboard.

FYI the new wireless combo works on a different PC including the keyboard.

So what's gone wrong and how do I fix it ?
Please !!!

Have tried various USB ports? Sometimes the ones on the front of a case can go 'funny'.
Also check to see if the keyboard works in the BIOS when booting up, that should tell you if its a hardware or software problem.

Seems likely to me that its software, so I would check in Device Manager that the keyboard driver is working, it might need removing and re-installing.

My son has this problem lately the keyboard does crazy stuff.

Like 'f' will bring up a search option on notepad.

The only way I could get it sorted Temporarily was to delete the keyboard from device manager and the USB ports.

:/

tried the usual stuff - all usb ports, device manager etc...
Haven't tried bios but figured I wont be able to do anything as the KB doesn't work.
Going to try removing all power cables and holding power button for 30 seconds the try again.
It's just a bit tricky as this machine is our network server also.
