dont even know how or why.... Got my new psu and mobo, plugged everything in (psu in a surge protector too) also took care to keep myself static free. One drive was missing upon post... So messed around a little, (powered down of course) then went to power back up and all four drives gone !!! thought i had a bad mobo, done an rma got my new mobo today and same issue no sata drives being recgonised in the bios.
At that point i took both ssd's out and tried them in a different machine.. Nothing... put a new ssd in the new build and boom showed straight away.
PSU is a brand new corsair AX860, which was sealed...
could have been something wrong with the original mobo, i guess i'll never know. can't go pointing any fingers at corsair or asus, as i don't know who was the culprit... I've been working on pc's for 20yrs, so know what i'm doing. i pretty cautious too on stuff like static.
Just gutted as everything was ready for my new build.. Now i'm going to have to re-download EVERYTHING from Steam ugh. had it all backed up on one of the drives.. 3TB of stuff gone from one drive... i do have a backup, so not lost anything personal.. .But even so....... still gonna cost.
