All my files are now hidden...Help!!

I've made a real n00blet mistake, I clicked on something last night, in trying to make all hidden folders visible I have actually made all my documents and folders hidden! This includes all shortcuts, and the only 'resident' shortcuts are the norm, my computer, recycle bin, etc.

I've changed the setting in the folder options to 'view hidden files' so I can see them now, but they are still transparent (or in other words, they are STILL hidden as such), does anyone know how to restore them properly?

Otherwise its a ride on the format train

Right click on folder and uncheck "Hidden", then apply, and choose "Apply to this folder, subfolders and files" then OK.

Which folder would that have to be if it has affected 'My documents', etc?
