All my purchases have disappeared

Anyone ever encounter a problem like this? I noticed last night that my iPod touch was no longer showing music in the cloud. Nor is it showing any music purchases on iTunes purchase history. Everything is gone. Even some apps are missing. Just waiting for Apple web chat now but I'm not happy.

It seems like every single thing I've ever bought has automatically gone into "hidden" mode. The woman at Apple support is manually unhiding all 1000+ items now it seems.
