All my remotes have stopped working?!!

I recently purchased a Sony 40" TV to go in my bedroom and since then every single remote has stopped working bar the one for the actual TV!! :confused:
My HTPC MCE remote no longer works, my AV receiver remote doesn’t work and my sky box remote also stopped working. as soon as I switch the TV off the remotes all become functioning again.
I’ve never had this problem before or even heard of it!! anyone know what the heck is going on??? :confused:
 
Tiny aliens stealing the power while you're out - just like Batteries Not Included. All you need now is a gang of old people and a big fat black man and you're ready to make a classic family movie.
 
Sure enough, when I cover up the screen all my remotes function again. 100% backlight ir interference then. I had my suspicions, thanks for the link ryder.
Now I need to think of a way of curing it :rolleyes:

Wouldn’t be all that bothered if it only lasted for 5 mins or so, unfortunately it constantly screws up the remotes until I turn the tv off again.
