According to a guy on Reddit who claims to be an ex employee of Ubisoft said that one of the top guys at Ubisoft *Yves Guillemot Co-founder And Chief Exectutive* said he doesn't care about PC because all PC gamers are pirates.

Not sure if this is real or not but this isn't the first ex-employee to expose what game companies say and do.

*Warning, Grown up speak is used in the video*

*** removed video due to swearing

If this is true then I have lost the little respect I had left for Ubisoft.

and the AC Unity thread..lol..was so blatant. All the early gameplay screenshots where cropped at the top because it had the crackers name on it and you couldn't change it apparently. But the same person was quite happily posting the video sequences in full screen because there was no GUI on the screen that showed the obvious, I lol'd so hard.

But at the end of the day, what should Ubi expect when they release trash after more trash..ppl aint going to give full price for crap anymore. Make your games better then ppl wont pirate it, simple.

+1

They should also introduce the smartly encrypted .exe that was done with Lords Of The Fallen, No pirate is going to crack that anytime soon, Would make their complaints null and void.

If piracy was none existent anymore, I'd expect game sales to drop (At least from a games launch)

What a load of tosh, clearly people still buy games unless they want to miss out on the multiplayer without having to use third party rubbish.

Judging by the Far Cry 4 thread, he's not far wrong...

I'm quite confident that most if not almost all of those people would not have pirated it if Ubishaft had not removed their latest titles off STEAM and all of these things didn't come out.

As it stands you can't even get a good CD key price from the usual key sites. Look at Alien: Isolation, you could have had it on release for £23 for a STEAM key.

The average FC4 price for a Uplay key? £34.99... And then there's a 3GB+ day 1 patch to tend to. They didn't just slap loyal fans on the face with one hand but they did the old one two and used the other hand to redden the other cheek too.

Pirates are always pirates. They aren't lost revenue as they wouldn't buy it anyway.

The same people will pirate other games regardless of publisher.

What you can't even steam them?

Never looked because even though my poverty card (7870) can play most titles it's no chance at AC. Not interested anyway. If I want any of their games I'll probably just obtain them otherwise, not paying £40 for it to run like crap.

Or simply just not play the game? Why because Ubisoft decided to remove it from Steam etc... do people feel they have a right to pirate something.

Don't like the company, the game etc... then don't play it. The amount that clearly pirate games on here is much higher than i thought.

Plus lets be honest they wont pay for many games.

Got mine for £27 from CJS :)

£30.99 on Uplay it seem!

Meh I refuse to pay over £20 for it either way. It's the principal that matters here. It will be well below that soon enough, they can have minimal funds at best. I feel their conduct toward PC Gamers does not deserve anywhere near full price.

People should be entitled to play the game the way they want to, companies like Ubisoft need to learn this.

The "Don't play it then" is so short sighted it's ridiculous, people like you are the reason change takes so long.
