Was all set to replace my faulty budget PSU with a 600w Seasonic when Overclockers dont seem to give me the Royal Mail delivery option (they used to) which I need when Im at work to pick up from local Royal mail depo. As couriers are 15 miles away :(
So Is the Hiper HPU-4K580-MK Type R 580W Modular close enough to give me reliable performance?
I ask because I can pick one up locally. However I wont if they are no good for my spec.

When you spend that much on your PC as your sig..It's worth paying the extra for a Enermax Liberty 620W/500w or seasonic 600w/500w over the hiper...

Am hoping to get the Enermax Liberty 620W myself..

Yeah I feared as much. My system is having intermittant shutdowns. I ran memtest etc so think the budget Color Hyper PSU is not good with all this gear :(
Its just the Hiper type R was available close by but dont want to end up with same prob. May try ringing OC tomorrow and begging :)

I've ran some heavy duty gear on a Hiper 580w 'Type R' (I thought that was a Honda :D ) and it seemed to cope OK, but it got noisy when stressed, much noisier than my Enermax 600w or Antec Neo, if noise is a consideration for you as well.

If you're not going to be at home, where are you going to be during the day? Surely the courier can deliver to your place of work/education/etc?

I have the Hiper PSU you mentioned and so far I couldn't be happier. It's silent, stable and looks the dogs danglies. I've always used Antec in the past but thought I'd give the Hiper a try.

You can set another delivery address apart from the one you have on your credit card you know.

As long as what your ordering is below £250 then you can have it delivered to any address you like. IF it goes over £250 then it has to be the address that is on your credit card, which has caused a few issues when ordering my larger items lol.

I have yet to encounter a problem with my Honda Civic, it is a nice solid lump. It was about 5mm too long for the PSU support thing on my case so had to do with out it.
