All this hype about Black ops 4 but...

I feel gamers have lost track abit here. For ages we were slamming EA for having dlc and splitting the community with map packs.

Now EA have got rid of them and are following what rainbow six siege does with having all maps and content free .

However Black ops still wants something daft like 40 quid for maps to play mutiplayer. I get that Battle Royal is appealing but sheesh. Shouldn't we be raging about the insane dlc prices...? :S

EA and Ubi will see this as a good reason to bring season passes back. What do you think.

UBI are very much still using season passes anyway,

EA have made a change once if it doesn't net them more money they'll be going back anyway. Leopards never change their spots.

COD is and always was a chuck away game it has an annual longevity and has been widely tolerated by the console community for so long I don't think Activision care.

I mean since cod 2 on the 360 we've had a new COD every year people willingly pay £60 for a game they know will be replaced in a year.

gamers are pretty shallow and most of it comes down to mp and what your friends are playing now days. people dont care really if EA make it or Activision make it.they just want a popular good game. EA will be getting rid of people for whats gone on with BF5 they really dropped the ball on that game . yet cod seems like its smashed it. many pc players are hyped for it yet if EA would have got BF5 right this might not of happened.pc side anyways.cod always sells more but pc players normally go for battlefield. finally there lack lustre approach is starting to catch up on them. people are getting sick of games just put out and bs spouted. they we arent falling for it. whoever came up with the bf5 ideas and the whole women handling media wise has destroyed the game.many replacements are going to happen for the next one once the figures roll in.

people do love cod in general its just on pc it hasnt been great for a few years. generally black ops titles are pretty decent. the br suits the style of the game already in cod and it looks slickly made. bit too arcadey for my liking but i get what people will like from it. i personally will stick with pubg. bit more indepth and the better BR experience. new snow map should also go down a storm.

how popular black ops4 is on the pc is anyones guess.the numbers for pc and cod over last few years have been really low. 95 percent of people maybe more play it on console. hope its well recieved for those that play it.

We still play Insurgency, we were playing Left4dead 2 last weekend.. (released in 2009)

It's really down to what your mates are playing, if they are playing the newest games, you'll feel you need to join in normally. Unless it's older gamers who baulk at the idea of £40 for the base game then a seasons pass, then DLC etc etc. All adds up.

As dg has said gamers are just about the shallowest bunch on planet, it's no longer a hobby but a lifestyle and those gamers gotta get their gaming at any cost regardless of the business practices.
I can't tell the difference between BFV and COD BO4 having played them both and will be buying neither.

BR is already old hat to me, I'm pretty bored of it and running around maps designed to be a death simulator is not appealing so just wanting to get back to decent single player stuff as online MP games (minus a few) are now just a pile of garbage, spread across a landfill site.

What if your mates only play Football Manager :(

Hype? Not seen much in the way of hype about it at all, the BR mode is getting some ok reviews from beta participants but that's about it.
