What are your all time favourite PS2 games?
What did you like about said game(s)?
Do you recommend it?

My favourites:

GTAIII, GTAVC, GTASA - The ultimate crime simulators. Whats not to like?

FreQuency - One of Harmonix's early music rythm games. Somewhat basic but features some interesting music.

Gran Turismo 3 - My favourite GT game to this day. I spent hundreds of hours on this. It just felt good. Lots of memories of driving the Escudo Pikes Peak.

Auto Modellista - Cel shaded japanese racing. Fairly unique for me and plenty of tuner cars. Stylish!

Timesplitters 2 - Fast paced shooter that outpaces Call of Duty. Begging for a HD facelift and added online play.

This list will grow in time.

I would like to hear your opinions on these titles and your favourite titles.

(If there is already a topic like this one, please feel free to point it out)

Ratchet and Clank 1 and 3 were good. I could never get into the 2nd one. Got the platinum trophy for the 1st HD remaster.

I loved Jak 2. More mature than Ratchet. Not really any gadgets though.

I'll definitely check out Tourist Trophy.

Playing Timesplitters 2 last night I realised how sharp the graphics were. Is the 3rd game good?

The Splinter Cell HD remasters are terrible. Low fps ruins them.

Am I the only one who thinks Ico is overrated?

I largely skipped over the PS2, opting for Xbox instead. I remember buying a Slim when it first came out along with San Andreas but I barely played it. I did finish God of War 1 and 2, both of which were excellent, but I actually played them on the original, backwards compatible PS3.

Never too late to go back. Especially now the prices of PS2 games are dirt cheap.

I forgot to mention Okami. What a brilliant game! I love the art style.
Any fans of it here?

Never played it on PS2, got the HD version on PS3 and LOVED it. Wish I'd played on PS2 now. Anyone who hasn't played this yet, MUST.

Ico proved that games needn't be over complicated.

Gran Turismo 4 was my addiction when I was younger. Hundreds of hours went into that game. I remember money farming by doing the same event over and over again to win a valuable car and then sell it, and eventually I owned every car in the game, in some cases twice or three times over. :D

I think my favourite car in that game was probably... Oooh... The Audi RS6 Avant I expect. :)

GT4 felt dry to me. I don't know why it felt like that to me.

Anyone played Persona 3?
