Running 3dmark01 at stock i get around 27k with an X1800XT/2GBRAM.
Running 3dmark01 at 3GHz i get 39k with the same ram/gfx.

I thought they were a little low? Am i correct or wrong? Or do they sound about right...

I have the same setup m8 (DS3, 6300 & X1800XT 256mb)

I'll run 01 for ya and post my scores

Si

edit - No m8 that's spot on, I get 39344@3Ghz (430fsb)

How the hell you guys hitting 3ghz on a 6300, i put mine at 2.4 and i got errors on prime thing over night, but i never put the cpu voltage up would that help.

What ram are you using? Are you using a DS3/4? To hit 3GHz on my crap ram i had to overvolt it by 0.2V~0.3V. Try it and then pump FSB to 430 :D

The motherboard i have is GA-956P-S3, on G.Skill pc 5300 ram 2 gig, i just put a post in a thread i made about i could use some GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC6400 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2.

Not sure how the S3 overclocks  . I got that same ram - G.Skill PC5400LA(well i had it, geil pc6400 coming monday) and its a rubbish overclocker. Go into the bios and put 0.2v onto the ram and then try at 430fsb. Let me know. ;)

Got some sweet Geil PC6400 here 2x1GB sticks :D

Exactly whats coming to me on monday..:D Have you gone further than 3GHz yet? I'm intrested to see how good this ram overclocks with the DS3 and E6300@)

I wimped out and put it on 420 which = 2.94 gig, i just ran a super pi and did it in 19 secs  what temps are you getting at this speed using core temp beta i am getting 36core1, 37core2.

ON another note i put about using amd's dual core optimiser and i was told not too but this is what it says.

Intended for all owners of dual-core processors, AMD Dual-Core Optimizer is a piece of software that allegedly improves gaming performance by bypassing Windows' API in some specific situations.

This utility helps that software access the RDTSC instruction directly, in order to correct the Time Stamp Counter on separate cores. It effectively keeps both cores working in parallel and reduces the differing video performance effects, or any other flaws that relate to timing situations in dual-core or upcoming multicore processors.

I don't use CoreTemp Beta as a reliable indicator(reports 60degrees weirdly sometimes). I use Speedfan/Easytune and the bios and i get around 27degrees idle 45 load or something like that - according to speedfan/easytune/bios. This is after reseating the HSF+Applying AS5. On the temps front your good to go :).

How is stability btw?

Now stop wimping out and hit up 430FSB:)

EDIT: Forgot to tell you, because your running PC5400 ram rated at 667MHz, you need to slacken the timings as well mate for stability otherwise you will have bsods and reboots :P

Just been on bf2 and it was fine no probs, temps coming off were mid 40's on both cores on core temp, using easytune 5 it says 27c idle can't see thats right seems way too low.

Dont' think i can adjust timings of ram on this board guess ill have to drop the speeds down abit.

Have you tried pushing ctrl+f1 in the main page of the bios then going into M.I.T or whatever it is? :)

How do these intels take 4x512 sticks of ram got hold of the geil thats on this week only 2x512 stick can i add another 2.
