My itouch is now officially the wetest one around after taking a good 30 mins in the washing machine thanks to my mum.

She didnt tell me today and went out and bought a replacement before i returned from college.

Will return the touch tomorrow as i havent opened it yet and i have 28 days apparently.

Just a few questions regarding the iphone though. Firstly, is it only 02 and CPW i can get em from? If so where is best. Secondly, do i have to take out the contracts with either, as i already have a crap '3' contract im paying for now (i know '3' isnt supported with even jailbreaking procedures) So could i just use an standard PAYG sim?

Thanks. :)

One of my external hard drivers no longer works... I have a strong suspicion I trod on it while wasted :o.

No contract needed, CPW as it's probably quicker to go there?

Buy it from o2 as CPW make you sign stuff and the staff are appalling.

No you dont have to take the contacts out as you are supposed to do that when you get home via iTunes, However you can just unlock it and use a PAYG sim. So yes you can use a standard PAYG sim :)

02 > Apple Online > CPW

Purely because it's a 2 minute job from an 02 shop :)

Put it in a friends airing cupboard over the weekend.

Tried it after i got it back and it was a complete no-go'er. No backlighting or anything, even after charging it via computer and wall socket.

Left it connected to my PC for a few hours in the hope it would turn on, and it did... at 2am :o

It has a lot of bad fading over the screen when not viewed from full screen angle, but otherwise works ok i think. The Wi-Fi must be totally destroyed though as it is now "not available"

At the moment im trying to dry it out by having it blast full brightness and music volume with no auto lock for the day.

It is by no means a working product, but had it been anything other than an Apple, i dont think it would have pulled through :p
