Almost hit a cyclist

Who was at fault here?

Basically the van is very badly parked, he is over the dropped kerb. The cyclists were on the pavement, they moved onto the road to get around the van. I was looking right and waiting for a truck, else I think I would have hit him.

The bikes 100%. If they plan to use the road, which is fine, then they need to use road rules, which include the side we drive/ride on!

Well he did shake his head as if it was my fault.

At least I'd have had the damage on camera

They had been on the pavement before, then used one of the drops on the main road and cycled on the wrong side of the road, in the video you can see them veer across in front of me to get back up the drop to my right, they then went back onto the pavement again.

I reckon it would have been the cat up the road that caused them to swerve round the sinkhole in the road and they would have bunny hopped over the bonnet of your car and continued.

It's a discussion about what could have happened, you did make me laugh though.

They weren't kids either, both adults.

No ones blamed the van drivers awful parking job yet. He was there for a good 15 minutes too.

I think I may have saw one of the cyclists again last week, he was on the correct side of the road, then crossed onto the wrong side before pulling across my street and up the dropped curb, a similar line to how they cane in the video. Though I'm not sure, seen people cycling on the pavement plenty of times before.
