Hi all,

I bought a Ryzen 3600 from OcUK and thought I'd re-use my Alpenfohn Matterhorn cooler as it's pretty decent at cooling and also quiet. I ordered the Alpenfohn AM4 bracket kit from OcUK and the screws don't seem to go in all the way on the motherboards backplate... There's a few mm gap between the board and the flat part of the nut/bolt.

I managed to find the Alpenfohn AM4 installation instructions and it appears it's supposed to use the motherboards backplate and not the one supplied with the cooler (which I'm not sure would fit anyway). It just seems pretty loose. Will it tighten up after I attach the cooler?

I went ahead with the full installation and it seems to all fit together fine. The AM4 bracket and motherboard backplate were quite loose, but attaching the cooler made sure the backplate and bracket were pulled back in to place. It seems firm enough... I expected better temps though, but I think that's down to the motherboards over enthusiastic CPU voltages.
