** Alpenföhn Cooling PREORDER NOW **

I'm after the same info on the Nordwand. Well, it's definitely in stock; I don't think OcUK would list it as being in stock if it weren't!

As for whether it supports socket 1156... It seems unlikely that it wouldn't, but it also seems quite unlikely that it wouldn't be on the listing if it did! So I think we need to hear it from the horse's mouth... Ace Modder? :D

FYI, my debate is between the Nordwand and the Noctua NH-U12P SE2... Still waiting for the latter to appear at OcUK, though. :p

What's wrong with the Brocken which does state 1156 compatability? It seems to be the Brocken that has the temps listed in a post above and it doesn't seem too bad. Of course the other thing to consider is how easy (or otherwise) are these to install?

It looks nice. It's black. It gets good reviews. It should give lower temps -- and therefore easier and/or higher overclocking -- than the Brocken. Oh, and it's nice to have the top of the range. :p

I have a one as a review sample and they gave me a call yesterday stating that it will come with 1156 support. If you do get one and it doesn't have the 1156 kit, just contact them and they'll send you one free of charge. It's also slightly better than the Noctua in my experience!

The Nordwand also have an extra heat pipe over the Brocken.
