Alpenfohn K2 cooler - quick question

Hey guys,

Got a quick question, my above cooler - the middle fan is plugged into the first CPU_header, with the outside/second fan plugged into the case fan header 3, is this correct?

The CPU header had a Y splitter but I've heard about over volting the header etc if i were to plug both fans into this header, so would it be best to leave it as it it or perhaps plug the outside fan into the CPU_OPT header for example? or does it make no difference lol haha.

Use the cpu fan and the cpu optional fan control headers, this is how i run it on my asus board in sig. Both of theese headers are 4 pin PWM which will automatically control the speed of the fans.

Daisy chaining a couple of those fans won't overload your headers.

Fwiw, I've had 3-5 of those fans on one header with no probs.

You should be able to plug them both into the same header, with the cables provided you can daisy chain them can you not?

sorry all for the late reply, no problem I have plugged it into the opt header and seems to be as it should now (as the fan profile is set) in idling about 800-900 - the outside fan I mean.
