Alpenfohn K2 what case

Hi

I'm after a new case as mine is about 20 years old and i had to mod it to fit heatsink, plus it doesn't have front usbs or audio inputs.
System specs are:
XFX Pro Series 750W
Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950 Windforce 3X 3072MB
I5 3570k @ 4.4Ghz
Alpenfohn K2

Been looking at cosair 300R but not sure if heatsink will fit, if anyone knows for sure be grateful, or any other recommendation.

Not really got a budget.

I have a 400r and it fits without any issue in my setup. It does partially block the top 120mm fan mount on the side panel but that's only because I had to raise the fan clips for one of the fans to make sure they clear the ram.

If the 300r is the same width then in theory it should be fine.

The two cases ive used it in are a Lian Li A70F full tower and a bitfenix shinobi xl. It also fits the nzxt phantom midi and full atx cases. The k2 is 167mm in height when mounted on a mobo, this measurement takes in the top of the circular framed middle fan which sits above the top of the cooler. Though ive since changed to 2x 120mm square framed fans on mine.

You can always check if a cooler will fit by going on the manufacturers website for the case and checking it's CPU cooler clearance, then finding out the height of the cooler from it's manufacturer website.

I tried that before asking but if it is on corsairs site i couldn't find it, cheers for the replies folks think i'm going for it

I have a 400R as my main case and a 300R as just something to mess around with. My Noctua NH-D14 fits easily in both cases. I believe the K2 is similar in size. Advice though....if you want to mod in the future I'd go for a 500R....it has removable hard drive bays etc etc.

Cheers i've already ordered the 300R though, prefered the straight side panel from pics although did quite fancy the 600T i'm guessing it will turn up tuesday or wednesday as next day ordered saturday night on a bank holiday
