Alpenföhn PCI-Slot Fan Bracket System

Yeah, you just mount normal fans to it. You can even mount funny shaped ones like Thermalright TY-140's.
The design is sturdy.

Is it worth it? Depends on your setup.
What GPU and case do you have? How were you planning to use it?

My case is a Sharkoon T9 Value/GPU 7950. I was planning on mounting it under my GPU to keep it cooler

It's worth a try I guess.
I'm not convinced it'd do a lot, as putting fans behind fans to increase cooling doesn't really work usually.

If you were feeling brave and up for cutting stuff, I'd suggest removing half of the side window and using the bracket to mount a side exhaust fan or two next to the gpu.
That'd help, but I wouldn't honestly expect you to do that :)

Realistically, the best advice I can give is to load up the front panel with decent intake fans and remove your pci slot covers.

Sorry to resurrect a slightly old topic... but I also have a question regarding this product: would it physically support (i.e. hold up) fans with silicone corners, like the NB multiframe series? Concerned they'll sag if they're only held up by the corner.

It should do as it uses screw + nut fittings to secure the fans to the bracket. Basically, you bolts fans on to it, rather than screw them to it.
You should be able to use the bolts on all four holes to attach the fans to the bracket.

To make it more secure, screw the silver plates into the fan which should make it pretty solid.

See this pic of my old setup for a rough idea, though the configuration is slightly different as I'm only using two bolts.

Normally, you'd have the silver plates on either side at the top. I stuck them top and bottom for aesthetics.

Ok thanks!

Sorry for the necro.

My case only has tool-less clips for the PCI slots, would that mean I couldn't install this?
