SO I've had one of these in my system for a couple of weeks now and I thought I would share my experience.
Totally stock (auto) max temps running a loop of firstrike ultra
core edge 46C
core junction 69C
Mem 62C
VRM 57C
gaming (borderlands 3) (full auto in wattman) core max (2018mhz)
core edge 44C
core junction 62C
Mem 58C
VRM 52C
1: you don't get much in the way of a performance boost with water cooling. I could max out the sliders in wattman with the standard card. What you do get is a flatter core frequency curve compared to air.
2: If you overclock then you need to watercool to get the best scores although in some of the benchmarks your CPU has a greater effect e.g. firestrike standard benchmark.
3: The supplied thermal pads are too thin for good contact with the block. I put thicker ones on and my mem temps dropped 15C. Same goes for the VRM but only 5-10C. The standard cooler is pretty good.
4: There are no supplied washers for attaching the block to the PCB. You need washers or the screws just sink through the PCB holes.
I've turned the LED's off on the card.
