Hi all,

Has anyone used an alphacool eisblock aurora?
I got a 6800 XT Nitro+ and it seems like they are the only company who make a block for it. I have always used EK blocks in the past.
Thanks

I used one for my 5700xt red devil, what do you want to know ?

I am interested in the quality of materials and build when compared to the EK.

Good quality, perfect fit, clear instructions cannot fault it.

Not sure why EK are held up as a pinnacle of excellence, they are just another supplier, and certainly not the gold standard - plenty of companies match and surpass them in all areas of watercooling.

Infact, i cannot think of 1 area where they are the best.

They have just become the go-to brand over the years, there are better fitttings, blocks, radiators, tubing, fluid, pumps all made by different companies.

Great looking system by the way.
I was using EK as the baseline because that is a block manufacturer I have used before and therefore I know what they are like. I have a Corsair CPU block and XSPC fittings and tube.
I quite like the look of the Alphacool block, I will get hold of one when they come into stock, thanks for your reply.

Same i don't think much of their radiators in particular, they dont perform near as well as some other brands and its always at a higher premium. Their new lines of FE blocks for the 3000 series are nice though, i rate them but horrendously over priced. For less money you can get a better brand like aquacomputer with active cooled backplates and digital LED screens on the manifold for temp/flow readouts.

EK need to check their prices, they won't be able to hold up this price mark for long especially when availability for other blocks become more regular.
