Hey

Been looking to get back into watercooling for a while since most hardware now is a lot of cash for small gains.

My 2500k and vapor x 290 still handle most things fine, sometimes i have to drop from very high to high settings but i can live with that

Anywho, has anyone got any experience with those Alphacool GPU blocks? They are a kind of mishmash of core only cooling but also have VRM and memory cooling passively. I cant get an EK or similar block as they never made them for my card.

I can get one for £61 which seems like a decent price to me, and it'll satisfy that itch for a while till AMD come up with something. I'm thinking of stuffing my node 804 with a 240mm rad and a real thick 280mm in the PSU side. Will that be enough for a 2500k clocked to 4.6ghz and a mildly OC'd 290?

Cheers

After looking into it a while ago, I could suffice a 8320 at 4.something Ghz and a 290 with plenty of headroom with what I believe much less cooling 'power' than that, so you will be fine mate!
