Hi guys
cant make up my mind on the two watercooling blocks i have been looking at

Alphacool NexXxoS XP
AquaXtreme™ MP-05 Pro Limited Edition

what would you guys go for . and why
Thanks

I personally have the Aquaextreme although I did actually want the Storm but that was not in stock anywhere at time.

The block has proven to be very good and many rate it as the second best block around (Storm being the best).

The Nexxos however is a lot cheaper and very close to cooling the same as the Aquaextreme from what gather.

same here mate ,no one has the storm in stock so i have been looking at the other 2 blocks and from what im reading theres not a lot in any three of them temp wise .but as you say the other 2 are a lot cheaper than the storm

I'd have thought the nexos would have the edge. Maybe things have changed, it used to be the daddy.

Edit: Negative. MP-05 all the way :) Seems I'm a bit out of date.

Nexxos XP. Cools my E6600 @1.58v 3.7ghz to 41c 100%load. Check out the many block comparisons out on the net and you will see that the nexxos outperforms most if not all blocks bar the storm...and even then its very close. The Nexxos however requires a strong pump to get the most out of it as like the Storm it is a very restrictive 'impingment' block.

I started off with an AP700 but that was only really capable of running a small rad and cpu only. I upgraded to a DDC+ (plexitop) with a triple rad and the difference was very good. I would recommend a laing DDC ;)

which Nexxos CPU block do you have .there seems to be a few to pick from .and how good are the alphacool GUP blocks
:)

5 degrees between idle and load with a nexxxos xp bold on a ihs less fx60 at 1.52v (eheim 1250 and he120.3 rad)

From tests the nexxxos xp bold is equal to the dangerden tdx blocks when using 3/8" tubing on nexxxos and 1/2" on tdx + nexxxos blocks are a lot cheaper

I have the Aquaextreme MP-05 Pro limited edition and it is a very good block. At least as good as a DD TDX. My rad is sitting on a windowsill with the window slightly open and my 4000+ is currently sitting at 16 degrees idle and at load is never more than 25 degrees. I also have my pair of 7800gt's in the loop. It is Scotland and it is bloody freezing up here at the moment. The pump i have is the awesome Aquaextreme 50z which has excellent head height.
