Hi there everyone.

After some contemplation I am now looking into watercooling my system. Was wanting to go for the above res for the 1 loop system, however after looking at the pics of it on the website i am unsure as to how the tubing connects to the res. Are there barbs already attached or would i need to purchase these separately?

Am wanting to go for a 1/2" loop so at the moment i am looking at the following parts:

EK Supreme Acetal

Alphacool Special Edition UV Plexi Single 5.25" Reservoir

Swiftech Laing MCP655 12 VDC Pump

XSPC 1/2" High Flexibility PVC Tubing - 1m

Feser One UV Reactive Coolant 1 Litre (Red)

Thermochill PA120.2 120mm Double Radiator

EK 1/2" Hose fitting

Thermochill 3/8"BSP to 1/2" Barb (for the rad)

Will probably need some of these as well i presume:

XSPC Tubing Clip For 1/2" Hose

Any help/advice is much appreciated.

All looks fine.

Good block , pump and rad.

If you want a bay res. go for an XSPC one , the newer ones have a better design that stops bubbles entering back into the loop.

1/2" barbs all round , Mastercleer 7/16ths tubing and you're all set.

the xspc tubing is ok but its not as bendy as masterkleer and it stains badly. Also there's little benefit from having a 655 pump over a 355/ddc etc pump with an after market top and its much MUCH bigger.

Otherwise setup looks fine.

quoted for truth the right tubing can really make a good water cooling rig

also you might want to look for a different colour feser as the red comes out pink :)

Excellent, thanks for the advice guys, glad i was in the right ball park area. Suppose it helps looking at some of your setups to get some ideas.

Will look into changing a couple of those things, looks like the setup will come in at around the 210-220 mark which i am more than happy with.

Don't get plastic hose clips. They are terrible at stopping leaks - my radiator leaked all over my desk and put my PC out of use for three days. You want jubilee clips, and nothing else.

I may pick up some jubilee clips just in case then, cant do any harm. Understand what you're saying with regards to maybe not needing them, with the piping being 1/16th of an inch narrower than the barbs it should be a nice tight fit.

/Edit

Right, here is the new list of parts with the modifications made, thanks guys:

EK Supreme Acetal
XSPC Bay Reservoir - Clear Acrylic
12V Laing DDC-1T Ultra w/XSPC Acrylic Pump Top
7/16" Masterkleer PVC Hose
Feser One Cooling Fluid - UV BLACK
Thermochill PA120.2 120mm Double Radiator
Zinc Plated Jubilee Wormdrive Clip 1/2" (10 Pack)
3/8" BSPP - 1/2" Hose Tail (EK)

A quick question with regards to the Rad - I was thinking of mounting it at the roof of my CM690 in the place of where the current fans are. Would this be the best way to do this and if so are there any extra fittings i would need to accomodate this? Looking around i have seen that there is a sort of shroud/standoff plate available for the 120.2.
