***AlphaCraft Minecraft PVP/Survival server***

As I have not yet been allowed onto the official OCUK Minecraft server I thought I would shamelessly plug my own server. :D

There is no whitelist and anyone can join. :D

My server runs a 1.1 bukkit release with some cool plugins including:

Iconomy
MCMMO
LWC
Runecraft
Treasure hunt
Precious stones
Virtual shop

Plus many other behind the scenes plugins to help the server run more effectively. Griefing and stealing is allowed so make sure your stuff is protected. luckily this is very easy to do thanks to the plugins I use. :)

PVP is also permitted. Although I like to encourage friendly interaction between players.

Some of the basic commands are:

/sethome (sets your home point , which is where you spawn when you die, plus you can teleport here at any time)
/home (teleports you to the place you selected with /sethome)
/money (tells you your current balance)
/vs (gives you access to the servers virtual shop commands)
/stats (gives you a breakdown of your skill levels)
/ps on (enables the placing of protectors, giving 24x24x40 block griefing protection)
/ps off (disables the placing of protectors)

The server uses anti cheat measures. anyone caught cheating will be banned without warning!

Waiting for LinkTart to update so thought I'd hop on briefly, got disconnected with some Java error. :(

I'm using OptiFine, would that count as a cheat? :p
 
This is an accident waiting to happen.

it's good that you are opening up your own server but 1 issue really
.greifing and stealing is "Allowed"!, the reason why linktart server does so well is becuase people can feel safe knowing that when they leave the game the items they worked hard for, are still there. What you are essentially doing is opening up a can of worms, because nobody would want to build something for them to completely destroy it. The reason why linktart server is so hard to get on is because originally they let anyone join which caused a lot of griefers and spammers, i myself have been a member for some time all you need to do is show that you can act like an adult and not destroy other peoples work, i dont mean 1 - 2 hours i mean months!!!!
 
Its very easy to put your own protection in place. My server uses LWC which allows you to lock doors and automatically locks chests/furnaces when you create them. You can protect your buildings/structures by placing protectors which give you 24x24x40 blocks protection. It is also very easy to add your friends/allies to your protection fields and locks.

If you take the correct precautions then griefing and stealing are not a problem. :)

I go out of my way to help people put the correct protections in place. :)

Edit: I also forgot to mention that I use worldguard and offer fully protected building plots in the main spawn town. :)
