Already a sequel to Left 4 Dead coming..?

"A sequel to Valve's brilliant Left 4 Dead could be set for a surprise reveal at E3 next week, if "reliable" internet sources are to be believed.

According to a report on Destructoid, the second zombie shooter will be unveiled by EA and Valve in LA with four new survivors set to battle the infected horde."

I did expect a sequel to be honest, but not this early.. I was rather hoping it would be an expansion pack for the first game.

Thoughts?

Hmmm, I would much prefer it to be an expansion of the first game.

Especially with the editing tools so recently released officially for L4D1

It all sounds good except for that.

I don't expect it too be a sequel, sounds more like some sort of DLC for L4D.

Not really, the game needs new infected.. too many people just do the same thing and camp in the closet or nearest spot possible and just shove infected away making it too easy, call it strategy if you like but imo its a cheap way to win.

DLC would make it fresh again

Considering the amount of time and effort Valve dedicate to TF2 I would be surprised if they abandon L4D so quickly, perhaps this could just be some form of expansion for the current game.

I very much doubt valve'll release a sequel to Left 4 Dead, especially this quickly. It could be some form of expansion, but I reckon that website is talking **** tbh.

I suspect it's a expansion pack for the xbox 360, and will be a free download for pc players.
probally will include 4 more maps, and a new mode.
It's a year old game, theirs been no time for a new game to be decently built and tested.
