Already has Ipad, need Laptop for girl using Word/Excel + Photoshop circa £300

My sis has an IPAD so uses that to watch movies, surf web etc..

But she needs something to edit spreadsheets, word and some photoshop.

Something bigger than a netbook.

What do you guys recommend?

Ah...the main strumbling block of ipads...the fact they don't actually let you do anything relevant

You don't need anything fancy for basic office applications and some photoshop. A recent 15" ACER or the like should do the job.

What about Iworks? http://www.apple.com/iwork/ I hear it exports to excel etc with updates. Not got an ipad (yet) but would buy thos app if i did

A bluetooth keyboard and suitable productivity software from itunes would do it for much less than a new laptop. Just be sure the keyboard is compatible with ipad.

Hmmm, unsure of the photoshop alternatives however.
