I already have a domain and use office 365 business essentials for my email.

Is there a free/cheap way of setting up mailboxes for family members under the same domain? Can this be done so that their email is private, or is this impossible if I own the domain?

I don't want to pay full wack for additional 365 licenses if I can help it...

if you've got Microsoft hosting your email, then you will need additional licences for each email...if, however, your web package includes email addresses then you can just set them up through cpanel/whatever your provider uses.
As far as I know, you cannot mix and match who looks after your emails

OK thanks guys, I'll look into additional licenses.

I think the privacy thing will be the dealbreaker anyway. It's a shame you can't somehow rent your domain out for people to use privately.

You could set up a sub domain so that the sub domain uses someone else's service.

Zoho mail allows up to 10 free users and using your domain.
