hello,

Just a quick question, I have just plugged the router into the test socket, and have got a 3mb speed increas! so i'd like to keep these speeds. Is it fine to run the router off the test socket 24/7? :)

It won't do any harm to the connection... but some master sockets the test socket bypasses any phone extensions from that socket. So provided everything works it's ok. Though for the money it's probably worth replacing the faceplate, who knows you may get even better sync.

Have you got the ring wire connected to the faceplate (in connector 3, usually orange and white cable).

If so disconnect it and put the faceplate back in and try again. That usually solves the problem of lower sync.
