My friend wants an alternative ADSL2+ router within £20-30 budget, his ISP is Sky using O2 TG582N wireless router with powerline adapters, the requirements of the router must be reliable and stable.

I've used the BT HH3 router before and was very stable so I was going to recommend that to him but before that what are your thoughts, the same or different router?

Thanks

Did DrayTek ever release a MER compatible firmware for the 2820? I thought they were only supporting the 2830 onwards. The wireless on the 2820 is nothing to write home about either.

With the suggested budget I'd stick with the TG582N.

If he's having problems, I'd blame the powerline adapters before a router..

Any ISP router should be basically 'stable'
