Alternative game chat to discord??

Hi people, I'm looking to a alternative to discord as me and my bro cant actually speak to each other on it anymore for some reason we have encountered the bug where I can hear him but he cant hear me

What else is out there we can use that's half decent? not teamspeak either, ive found one called mumble or something but never heard of anyone using it so not sure about it

steam has a chat feature try that

we thought about steam but its not ideal, I'm looking for something similar to discord where you can group chat etc even when playing different games etc

I had the same problem last week .Re installed sound card drivers and it fixed the problem .If that doesnt work use Skype

thanks,but ive had problems with skype last time I tried to use it, that's why we went with discord, just tried mumble and didn't like it at all lol

EDIT; skype seems to be working great for me now so think I will just use that thanks to the people who have commented
