Or what can I drink day to day that isn't a derivative of tea/coffee nor cocoa, horlicks, bovril... etc?

Been wondering about this lately, getting a little bored of hot drinks in general and it wasn't until I wanted something new did I realise how limited the selection was.

So, what does OcUK think exists that's none of the above but can be enjoyed in place of them?

It sounds daft, but hot water is refreshing.

I drink a lot of hot water. It's good as it doesn't have the additives of other drinks, the calories or the caffine. As far as I'm concerned it just tastes like tea ;)

Plus it has the benefit of course of filling you up so you don't feel hungry.

Milkshake.....but with hot milk.

Just drink no added sugar diluting juice, lots of choice and its good for you compared to coffee, tea etc (although one up of coffee a day may prevent altzheimers)

i know you said no tea derivatives but how about some green tea or similar

i tried it the other day for the first time, green leaves in bottom of cup & add hot water, leave for a minute then drink, gets stronger the longer you take to drink it

i found it quite refreshing

Mulled wine

Or honey and lemon. Big teaspoon of honey and a healthy squirt of lemon juice (from concentrate if you are lazy), marvellous

Aye, as above, Hot water with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice is a good way to start the day.

A Chicken or Beef Oxo cube is a nice winter-warmer.

Robinsons also do (did?) a winter warmers version of their high juice.

Coffee
Tea
variety tea (earl gray etc)
herbal / fruit drinks
redbush
chocolate
malt
vegemite / marmite
bovril
hot juice
soup

And thats just the obvious mainsteam stuff, I quite like a mug of mulled scumpy, not really something you have handy all year round though.
