I've just taken the switch over to Ubuntu and I'm finding some programs aren't available.

I'm wondering what you use, programs should also be cross platform as I do use Windows on my other PC, then I can stick with one program on both platforms :)

- RocketDock
- TeamViewer
- Yawcam
- Virtual Clone drive
- Notepad ++
- ImgBurn
- MSN
- Foxit Reader
- 7zip

Hopefully going to be using Ubuntu 90% of the time now.

You shouldn't need Virtual Clone drive, you can natively mount .iso files in Linux, and you can use the bchunk program to convert .bin/.cue to .iso :)

Foxit Reader also has a Linux version.

Medit is a nice notepad++ replacement, Kate is also good.

K3b is a good cd burning tool, will replace imgburn.

:)

Similar programs to Rocketdock are AWN (avant window navigator) and gnome-do with the docky theme. Both are pretty awesome bits of software :)
