Alternative remote with tv tuner?

Hi, I just bought a Hauppage win tv hvr 900h stick and overall I'm pretty happy with it. However, the remote is ugly and nasty to use. Is there any way to get it working with another type of remote? I have a spare sky and virgin media one if it can.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Well if you are using it through windows media centre I would suspect that any windows media centre compatible remote would work. If you are using the Hauppage software then maybe not.

Very much doubt you will get the SKy or Virgin ones to work.

Does it use Infrared?

Yeah.

I'm using Windows Media Centre, but the infra red receiver is on the actual stick.

Yeah I have a Hauppage but an internal card but i imagine the controller is the same as you have.

There seems to be a a windows media centre standard though from the little I've seen so I reckon that any other compatible remote should work with it.

Alternatively you could get one of the programmable universal remotes (if it's IR) and control all of your devices with it.
