Tried fitting the res combo and ek pump 2.2 with the supplier screws and alan key however the key is really brittle and has already rounded itself :(.

Is there a good alternative to using them? I dont think i've tightened the pump to res combo enough...

Well the allen key is completely knackered... I do have a small set of screwdrivers but no idea if it will work till tonight :(.

Theres a little bit of play between the res and the pump, sems secure but i dont want to gamble it

Ahh i wish someone had told me this before i bought the key because i would have gotten a set on the way home :(

I've got this really old Snapon yellow rachet scewdriver and it is fantastic! I literally use it every day and it is probably the most useful thing I've ever owned. You can change the tips, I've got a Mac tools set that allows me to do everything: torx, allen heads and a load of other things I've never seen before. If you regularly do anything with computers or DIY then this is a must-have! I honestly can't say how useful it is!

The model number is SSDMR48.

Thanks! I'll defo look into as i lack any sort of useful tools at moment apart from a mechanics tool box and some smaller screw drivers!

Do you have any kind of grinder to hand ? bench grinder, angle grinder, even a dremel with a grinding stone.
Just grind off the small part of the Allen key you've rounded off.

Its alright, i managed to sort it out. I used the other end of the allen key to screw it in. Pushed it in so it couldnt move and turned quite nicely :).

Thanks for the support all
