Hello,

A friend has bought some Beats Solo2/3 Wireless and wonders if she can get something better for her money now that I've said they wouldn't have been my first choice...

Her budget is sub £200, and I think she paid £160 maybe so I wondered if anyone had any suggestions? And if they came in rose gold I think she'll like them even more, although this probably isn't a fixed requirement :D

Cheers

Some options I've found:

AKG N60NC £149.95 Save £80
CB3 HUSH £89.99 Save £40
Jabra Move £63.55 Save £16.44
AKG Y50BT £99.95 Save £50
Philips M2BTBK Fidelio £152.00
Sony MDR-XB950B1 £103.50

That's pretty cheap!

I suggested these too, although I didn't see the b-grade deal, and I also suggested the Sony MDR-1000X which I think she'll go for. They look a fantastic deal at £229.97 versus the newer version at £319.99 which from what I can tell offer marginal benefits in battery life and tech tweaks.

Don't be put off by the B Grade stuff either - both of my headphones came in sealed boxes and looked new.

Sony MDR-1000X is in a different league to the others and is an absolute bargain at £230
It has noise cancelling comparable to the best from Bose and has better sound quality

The beats headphones are worse than most £50 ones, as you're paying for the branding as some social statement, rather than the quality... it's good you talked her out of them :D

As rids says, the Sonys are really great at that price point... unbeatable.

I really like the Bose... but they're over £300.
