I like how they have put the pump directly inline with a tube reservoir on the d5 photon, I am wondering if it is possible to do something that will look very similar to that with an EK XRES ? ( I am guessing its not possible )

I know it can be done with a cube block inbetween

I am also wondering why the innner tube on the D5 photon is not clear like the outside, is that for lighting diffusion or something ?

ye I saw those, I'd be tempted by that if the reservoir was a lot longer and wider in proportion to the square section, also I like the cog shaped thing that xspc puts onto the D5, I think it looks quite plain without it

Last time what I did was had an ek res mounted halfway up the case
and then a ddc with a square ek top attached to the bottom of the case,
it was a pain to get everything to screw together and line up though
hence why I am thinking just have the pump attached this time

Have a look at Primochill's pump mount tube reservoirs.

Oh, and yes, the inner tube on the Photon is frosted to help diffuse the light when using an led.

Ah ok I didnt see the screw ring on the bottom of the primochill tubes, assumed there was a g 1/4 underneath, thats interesting. Havent had any primochill parts before though so unsure about that

The EK one looks interesting, didnt know that existed

I did find it strange that the photon would be the only product that
can assemble in that way

thanks for helping
