Wasn't really sure which forum to put this in so just went for general. :p

As title really can anyone suggest a decent ITUNEs alternative

Thanks in adavnce

thanks for suggestions , but I ment alternative software to load the IPOD up with sings. Hate I tunes syncing thing pain in the ****

I find winamp handles it perfectly fine. Plus, if you have any songs in a format that the iPod cannot handle it converts them on the fly.

I use itunes because WMP takes 100% CPU after 5 minutes of runtime :s

Winamp is good, try that?

May I ask why?

I love the way iTunes handles the content of my iPod, automagically syncing and then ejecting it when it's done. Smart playlists are incredibly powerful, so I can see my most listened to and highest rated songs, as well as the most recent additions etc.

I don't understand why people would want to use something like Winamp over iTunes (for getting content onto their iPod) seems like such a step backwards.

Personally I can see what your saying about iTunes and it's features, but i only have a 2gb nano and about 20gb worth of music, and it can be a right pain in the arse getting the songs you want on it.
It would be so much easyer to just use it like a memory stick and drag songs onto it. On the other hand if i had a big ipod then yea it probabaly would be great.

Use a playlist to sync with the iPod instead of syncing your entire collection? Then just drag and drop into the playlist and sync as you please..

I recommend the Rockbox firmware also, it allows you to use the Ipod like a memory stick, and not have to have any extra applications installed to sync it or any of that business. It also has far more in the way of features and customisability than the standard Ipod Firmware.
