Alternative to Kaspersky?

Evening

Well originally i had AVG and it seemed to do the job, then i read up on the sticky in this forum and it didnt do too well compared to some others :/

So i downloaded a trial of Kaspersky.. and its been excellent.. is definatly doing the job as i get file alerts quite often.. which i didnt get with AVG which is worrying

Just looking for an alternative to before my trial runs out.. I've tried NOD32 and i just didnt like it. AVG obviously wasn't picking up some things.. so i need to find something else soon

Any recommendations welcome, ta

Avast is what i have used all year. I find it lite and secure and easy to use.

Strange, I've used AVG without troubles...and yes, I do see the odd java virus but nothing too regular.

Avast would be my recommendation and it has a modified Kaspersky engine but with the added advantage that it is free.

I have the pro version because I use my computer for work but there is little difference between that and the free Home version. It has never let me down.

Yeh i got those briefly with AVG.. but with Kaspersky, a lot more popped up lol, dunno, i'm willing to try new things anyway..

Will give Avast a try, thanks guys
