I've recently been doing quite a bit of video rendering and creation. It's taking my current pc a q6600 with 4 gb of ram , 3 hours to render a 1 minute after effects intro.

I have been considering a switch to a 27 inch i7 Mac but I am too used to creating high spec PC's for a lot less !

If I decide to build a new PC it will need to be quite and powerful , I'll probably also go for 2, 22 inch monitors so I'll need a dual head Video card.

Any suggestions for processor, ram, hdd, mobo and video card?

Most of the costs in the iMac are the extremely good 27" screen. They aren't that uncompetitive. They aren't any better for Adobe CS tho.
