alternative to MAMP

hi guys...

could i have some recommendations for MAMP replacements? i like the concept of it all (a nice little widget to switch the server on/off etc) but the fact of the matter is it hardly works:

• when i first turn the mac on, it says the server is on, but it isn't (this happens 2/3 times)

• you can't stop the server (in an attempt to restart it - for e.g. i pressed stop servers about 5 minutes ago, and its still showing that glitchy thinking spinning graphic on the widget)

so yeah, something similar but reliable would be great :)
 
actually, just read on the mamp forums that its a known problem that they are working on and the workaround is to go to preferences then click ok... it thinks a while then all is fixed :)

thought i'd post the solution incase anyone else is having this issue... hopefully its just temporary...
