Alternative to MS Sidewinder X4

My son would like a Microsoft Sidewinder X4 from 'Santa', but they don't seem to be in stock anywhere. Are they still being made?

Is there something else for a similar price (c£35) that is as good? He wants to use for gaming, but me be half decent for general use too.

Saitek Cyborg V5 is pretty good, full height keys though unlike the sidewinder which might not be your preference.

Its got red backlighting and the function keys can be programmed with the cyborg software.

Found somewhere I can get a X4 for about £36 delivered. So think I may go with that after all. Or is the V5 significantly better?

Thanks for the suggestion though.
