Alternatives to Coolermaster Wavemaster

Ok, mainly to Yewen but to all anyway,

Whats the views on the Lian-Li PC-V1000 over the wavemaster or PC7?

Andy

the V1000 is a lovely case very spacious and perfect for watercooling without much modding... the PC7 is just a wavemaster with out the wave... personally i think its a bit plain... the wave is small so modding is needed for water... the qaulity of the V and W are pretty much in the same league its really down to wether you want to go the long haul and try and fit the WC in a smaller wavemaster (and how skilled you are with a jigsaw) or if you want loads of space and ease of installation in the V1000... plus how much space you have in your PC room also and on air flow the V1000 poo's all other the wave but as u said ** thinking of water this makes no odds

The V series cases are a little easier than a wavemaster to silence on air, but if you are going water then airflow is not a big concern, so the only real difference is how they look.

I use a hybrid water/air system and the v1000 seems to be quieter than the wavemaster, but I have not used identical systems in both; seems to dampen the sound a little better.

Best thing to do if you are going water cooling straight away is to get the one you like the look of most, and then fit the watercooling to it. If you are going to use air then watercooling, then there are no better cases than the V1000+/Eclipse.

My Black wavemaster is pretty darn quiet!

I have all fans replaced with Akasa 80mm Amber's, Galaxy Glacier 6800GT Graphics Card, Akasa Evo 33 Heatsink and Akasa amber fan, Enermax PSU and a Samsung Spinpoint. So in total I have 5 Akasa amber fans.

All fans are hooked up to an Aerogate 2, bar the CPU one which has an external controller :D

It's a quality case and by far the sexiest imo. Temps aren't half bad either.

Well don't know where people are getting the water cooling thing about but I don;t intend going to watercool at all.

Well in the end I ordered the V1000Plus, looks nice and the cooling zones seem to be good according to reviews.

Got a Zalman CPU fan as well to replace stock.
