Alternatives to Macbook Air

Hi all

I've recently been looking at tablets but I'm now considering getting a 13" laptop (or smaller) instead.

When I've been googling, the macbook air seems to be the clear choice but I've never used a mac before so I'm not too sure if that will bother me.

Are their any windows alternatives which are similar in size/thickness/weight and can match it in terms of performance?

I've just been having a look in this sort of range and on a budget the Asus zenbook UX305FA seems like a hell of a deal. It only has a core m cpu but at £499 it's literally half the price of the dell. There are harder to find variants, the LA, UA, CA etc which have real processors too and still come in cheaper.
