Alternatives to the Airpods for the iPhone 7+

I bought a Matt black 128gb iPhone 7+ couple of days ago, seeing as the headphone jack is a no show looking at bluethooth options to replace the shure se210 & se410. Sure(pun intended) I could use the adapter in the box, but "new toys"

edit: as some users can't process extra info and unable to process wireless = Bluetooth when it comes to headphones.

If you're looking for bluetooth earphones like what essentially the earpods are then there are others out there. But you wont get the simplicity of staying with the "apple ecosystem", on how the pods connect, charge, siri, controls and all that bling.

But if you're set on bluetooth earphones then there are the Jaybirds, and other brands too, only really had experience with the Jaybirds though and theyre quite cheaper than the pods aswell.

Thanks for the reply and sorry in advance this will sound ungrateful/rude but yes I'm well aware of the simplicity of the Apple ecosystem, plus the fact there are lots available. Which is essentially why I asked, for suggestions for alternatives (sorry should have said) around the price of the Airpods. See what others have used and found to be good, which to stay away from etc. I have looked at reviews on the rainforest at the Bose qc30(bit too expensive), their cheaper "sports" ones etc.

Btw thanks for reminding me about the jaybirds, have seen those suggested on here and elsewhere. Tho which models as looking on the rainforest there are some at around the same price, others not that much cheaper in their Bluetooth models.

Hmm unsurprisingly no other replies. Don't know why I even bother.

I would expect very few of the people who frequent this forum have an iPhone 7 and without knowledge of what works with it, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable recommending anything.

I'm no tech expert but BLUETOOTH should give you a clue as to which head/earphones work on the iPhone 7. Some of the more "fancy" thinks like APTX(or whatever it's called) doesn't work but your "basic" current Bluetooth standard(4.sonmthingbor other) wirks

No need for sarcastic comments, when I say I know nothing about Apple products I mean it, I have no idea what works with them and what doesn't and "BLUETOOTH should give me a clue" doesn't fly either as I don't use Bluetooth and never have.

Out of the whole original post, the only relevant information is "as the headphone jack is a no show looking at wireless options to replace the shure se210 & se410", so....

There are plenty of Bluetooth IEMs on the market but none of them compete with wired at their price points, so you could buy a £250 bluetooth pair that could be beaten by a £50 wired pair. The majority of bluetooth IEMs are at the cheap end of the market and are meant to improve convenience rather than sound quality, so finding a pair to best your Shure 410s is going to be difficult.

If you like the Shure sound, an option would be to get the Se215, Se315 or Se425 and a bluetooth adapter cable which can be had for about £20 on the rain forest.

Never asked for a replacement sound quality wise for the se410s, if I want that I'll just use it wired with the included 3.5 to Lightning adapter Apple provides in the box.
If you've not used Bluetooth ear/headphones why are you even answering? I'm asking for advice from people who've had some experience with them, what they found good/bad.

And what if those people are not regular posters?

Post a sarcastic comment because you only got 1 reply in 3 days?

Quite a few people who don't get replies after a few days, bump the thread by asking if anyone else has any ideas.

You'll likely get more help by doing that, rather than being sarcastic.

There's no mention of Bluetooth earphones in the OP, just wireless and that you're looking for an alternative to Airpods. Do Airpods use Bluetooth? I don't know, rids57 doesn't know. He, I and possibly quite a few others who post here don't have an iPhone 7 and pay no attention to what Apple releases.

You mentioned nothing about whether you were looking for an alternative that could offer what the Airpod does in the way of other features, sound aside, or whether you just wanted something for just audio and weren't bothered about the other features. You went on about iPhone 6, Airpad and data storage limits, none of which have anything at all do with what wireless earphones work with the iPhone 7. Bluetooth as it turns out. Did we know that? No.

You assumed people knew that the Airpods use Bluetooth and that you did not require an alternative that makes use of the same features, hence Heisenberg's and rids57's posts. What did they get in return? Sarcasm.

Help works both ways. If people want help with something, then help those to understand exactly what it is they are looking for. This section is called Sound City, but it doesn't mean everyone that posts here knows everything to do with audio. People usually like to help if they can, but are perhaps less willing if get some sarcastic remarks because the person asking didn't like the response.

Anyway: Jaybird X2 seem to get on many recommended lists I've seen, but after just looking them up on the jungle site, they have quite a lot of 1* user reviews. Surely too many for them to be a good recommendation.

In fact, just looked up another pair (Denon W150) that appeared on a 'best Bluetooth earphone list', and they too have a lot of 1* reviews on the jungle site.

Which leads me to wonder, either these lists are made up, paid for, or the people compiling them do not use these earphones long enough for something to wrong like they have for the people giving them 1* on the jungle site.

Must admit, I do find it odd that there are quite a few cheap unknown branded ones that get lots of 4 and 5 star reviews but very few 1 and 2 star. Too many non genuine user reviews?

Please enlighten me as to what other "wireless" headphone/earphones you get other than Bluetooth.
You certainly don't get IR or Wifi based.
Apple are "innovative"(if you can call releasing a feature as new even tho it was available many years before), but even they've not "reinvented the wheel" in terms of what wireless headphones/earphone are.

P.s. It also helps if you read the other replies not just the op, the first guy who replied mentioned the Airpods are Bluetooth(even if he wrongfully called them EarPods). Correct me if I'm wrong but it doesn't take much to put two and two together.
But whatever, to bad the forum doesn't allow deleting thread yourself as I've had enough of this nonsense.

This probably would have gone much better if you'd just said "I'm looking for some decent BT headphones what do people recommend" rather than going in all arse backwards and making it much more convoluted than it needs to be and then stropping.

Well nothing I can do if people don't read past the op, like I said the first reply mentioned that the airpods were Bluetooth.
It's not the first time I've posted on these forums without any replies thus the "why do I bother" reply the other day.
Also like I said in my last reply show me wireless earphones for use with mobile (android or iPhone) that uses anything other than Bluetooth. Again said I'm no tech expert, but thus far from my research I've not come across anything other than Bluetooth Earphones/headphones for Mobiles, we have wireless headphones for the TV in my parents bedroom that works off IR but those aren't what you'd call suitable for Mobiles.
