alternatives to "windows live messenger"?

Gaim is pretty good - and is regularly updated, but in my experience voice and video are a bit flaky...
 
its not so bad

google for apatch to remove all the crap from it

then delete ANYONE that tries sending you a nudge or replaces any words with pictures and you're set to go!
 
Someone on here recommended this prog to me last week, Sorry i can't credit the dude as my head memory is borked.
Anyways use this prog to get rid of all the crap on MSN it's superb.
